When it came to designing our forever home, we researched floorplans to find one we liked with the caveat that our contractor could modify it to fit our specific needs.  While we found one plan we really liked, we were unable to come up with a solution to configure rooms adjacent to the garage as well as a large open space adjacent to the bedrooms.  Our contractor referred us to Mike, and we met with him at his office.  It was an absolute pleasure working with him because of his experience, creativity and flexibility.  We had options to change things such as our master shower, which was reconfigured several times until we found the right layout and fit.

The process included Mike’s preliminary sketches based on our ideas and concepts and we bounced other ideas back and forth until we came up with the final floorplan and elevations that became reality.  Mike’s service didn’t stop once we had working plans.  He met with us during the latter part of the build to offer recommendations and advice regarding finish details in our great room and kitchen.  While this part of our home showcases Mike’s design talents regarding layout, ergonomics, ceiling geometry and the breathtaking views from the interior and deck, the entire home flows and is more than we could have ever dreamed of.  If you are looking to build a one-of-a-kind home with unique features, combined with function and form, we highly recommend using Mike Rust as your architect.
